This Way to the Hamburg Brewery

Living in WNY, we tend to get really excited once that ONE DAY in spring hits late 60s. Not sure what we are thinking. We really should know better! The Pilafs decided the sun outside meant it was a great day for a patio beer. Wrong! We were very wrong; it was still cold outside! The good news is our destination was still a great success.

Hamburg Brewing Company

Open Mon-Tues 4pm-10pm, Wed-Sat noon-10pm and Sun noon-8pm, the Hamburg Brewing Company has the perfect atmosphere both inside and outside for any visitors to the area.

Patio of Hamburg Brewery

On cold nights, they light up the fireplace for a cozy atmosphere, and in the summer, (notice I said summer!) they open up the patio. There are many places to spend time with friends around some serious scenery. It really is well done.

Hamburg Brewery carries a simple bar menu, including sandwiches, sausage, quesadilla’s and appetizers. There are a few wine choices and many excellent craft beers.

If you are looking to spend some time outside prior to your visit to the brewery, consider beginning your visit to the southtowns by taking a nice hike throughout the Anna Mae Bacon Bird Sanctuary. It is obviously a place for bird watching (see its name), and is an easy walk for people of all ages. You can find it right in the middle of Hamburg.

The Pilafs visited the sanctuary this past winter and found it to be lovely even in the freezing cold. But, due to the weather, there are no photos… Dra’s hands were frozen! Nothin a nice glass of wine can’t fix!

Hamburg Brewery Box Score

The appetizers and staff both rocked in a Home Run and JT gives the Tropically Delicious Sour a Triple and the Hoptimonium DIPA a Home Run.
