The Pilafs continue their quest to support local and find great food in WNY by looking up. Well…on top of a hill, that is. OK, honestly, we swung by the Hilltop Restaurant, which is technically on a bit of an incline. Either way, we are glad we did!
Honestly, this is the second time we have been here, but our first experience at eating at the bar – JT’s favorite spot – and it was his introduction to their wings. There were several choices of sauces, but he went with the Mango Habanero. Grilled to perfection, the sauce was sweet with a hot finish. He is excited to return and try their traditional hot wings next time.
Both Demetri and the bartender were incredibly helpful and really nice guys. The suggestion of a gluten-free mac and cheese with pulled pork was spot on. It was delicious!
The regular Mac and Cheese and fries were also a hit with our daughter, and the locals at the bar said they never skip the Fried Pickles. They claim Hilltop has the best.
On another note, we have dined here one other time before with friends and we all LOVED the short ribs. We didn’t get a photo back then, but would highly recommend them.
Both the bar and the dining area are very nice and they have an outdoor patio for warmer weather. The menu consists of pasta, pizza, sandwiches, burgers, steak, salads, fish, chicken, ribs, and other appetizers and entrees. The locals mentioned that everything is excellent and you won’t be disappointed with any meal. We’ll trust them!
