The Pilafs love to support local, especially those who also support local! After several long hikes over the last few days, we needed to find JT a brewery to visit. We swung over to West Seneca and found these gems.

Rusty Nickel Brewing Company
The staff at the Rusty Nickel Brewing Company are fantastic and very friendly! We appreciate how they took the time to chat and explain more about their business to us. We were given a spot to sit inside and JT got to work trying a few craft beers he hadn’t had before. (I know…hard to believe… she said dripping with sarcasm.)

The bar and dining area is rustic and sleek. They have beautiful live-edge work, and when you visit, look up! They found a way to be creative and keep that cabin-wood feel.
Stouts were on the docket today and Dra went for the cider. JT gives both the Chocolate Milk Money Milk Stout and the Vanilla Chai Tea Milk Stout a Home Run. He also bought a 4-pack of the Hazy Girl New England IPA since his experience at the bar was successful and the proceeds of this particular 4-pack goes to #pinkbootsbuffalo.

Being our first time there, we did not realize that “eating outdoors” meant a beautiful back area that is heated. Yep! They have heat! We looked in back on our way out and were pleasantly surprised. There is so much room back there and it is very welcoming, not only to families, but also to dogs. The back is dog-friendly.
Thank you to Rusty Nickel for a great visit, great beer and great appetizers. Now, time for dinner.

Ebenezer Ale House
Not having to move our car (since these two places share the same parking lot) we walked over to the Ebenezer Ale House for dinner.
The staff here were also very nice and the food was delicious!

Dra gave a Home Run to the Cobb Salad and JT got the wings (no surprise here!). He said they were also a Home Run and were crispy, saucy and buttery. He mentioned a return trip; always impressive.
Ebenezer has several TVs for gameday and many local craft beers. JT ordered the Triplehammer Bierworks IPA and gave it a triple.
Next time you are in the West Seneca area, stop on in. Enjoy your day and support local!
